The energy audit of the Balti Clinical Hospital.
Brief information on the project:
In light of Moldova's energy security challenges and high energy intensity, energy efficiency (EE) has been recognized as a pivotal component of reform within the National Development Strategy Moldova 2020. Aligning with the Energy Community Treaty, the Republic of Moldova has prioritized increasing EE, notably through a 10% energy reduction goal in the building sector (base year 2009). Given the substantial number of public buildings, especially in rural areas, with inadequate energy performance, enhancing EE emerges as a critical endeavor. The Balti Clinic Hospital, requiring refurbishment, stands as a focal point for EE interventions. Consequently, conducting an energy audit has been deemed imperative. This audit aims to empower the municipal administration of Balti Hospital to seek funding opportunities from regional, local, and potentially international sources.
Our involvement:
To realize the project's objectives, VTGSYNERGY is tasked with the following:
1.Walk-Through Energy Audit:
Conduct a comprehensive walk-through energy audit of the Balti Clinical Hospital. This audit encompasses the identification of energy consumption patterns, performance assessment, evaluation of maintenance practices, identification of operational inefficiencies, and detection of equipment deficiencies. Moreover, it entails identifying areas necessitating further evaluation. The resulting report should outline potential energy-efficient measures (EEMs) and opportunities for integrating renewable energy sources (RES), accompanied by qualitative analyses and estimations of potential energy savings.
2.Detailed Energy Audit:
Execute an in-depth energy audit of the Balti Clinical Hospital building. This phase involves a meticulous examination to pinpoint and recommend EEMs conducive to EE and RES investment implementation.
Deliverables:
The deliverables include a comprehensive audit report adhering to the approved template by the National Center for Sustainable Energy of the Republic of Moldova. The report should maintain conciseness, clarity, and adherence to all relevant calculations, analyses, and assumptions. It must detail encountered challenges in data collection and fieldwork, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.
